I had a wonderful time reading my poem A Man's Space, which was published in the Where We Find Ourselves anthology by Arachne Press (@arachnepress), at the poetry reading in Brixton. It's always so lovely meeting other BIPOC creatives and knowing they understand your experiences. I also got to sign copies for people who got the book which felt super strange and nice at the same time.
Where We Find Ourselves includes stories and poems from nearly 40 UK writers of the Global Majority, from African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Caribbean, South American, Chinese and Malay communities, writing about maps and mapping. Stories and poems of finding oneself and getting lost, colonialism and diaspora, childhood exploration and adult homecoming.
